Work on Karachi-2/3 construction was resumed AtomInfo.Ru, PUBLISHED 29.12.2014 The preparatory work on the construction of units No. 2-3 of the Karachi NPP in Pakistan was resumed. The High court of Sindh has decided to stop the preparation work on the site because of the complaint of the activist group. However this limitation is now lifted. The excavation at the site have been conducted since November. The units will be have the Chinese ACP-1000 reactors with a power of 1100 MWe. each. The construction is financed by China (82%) and Pakistan (18%). The unit start-up is scheduled for 2019.
