CNNC Hosts China-Africa Conference on Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Technology

During the 35th AFRA Technical Working Group Meeting, the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC) successfully held the China-Africa Conference on Peaceful Uses of Nuclear Technology in Ethiopia.

The conference drew the attendance of over 40 representatives, government officials, experts and scholars from AFRA member countries.

At the conference, representatives of the CNNC shared its solutions and practices in the fields of nuclear energy and nuclear technology applications, which included the integrated utilization of clean energy, the construction and application of small-modular reactors (SMR) and high-temperature gas-cooled reactors, receiving enthusiastic responses from the audience.

During the event, representatives of the China Atomic Energy Authority and the CNNC also held several meetings with relevant African countries and engaged in in-depth discussions on cooperation in nuclear research facilities and nuclear medicine, laying a solid foundation for future collaboration.
