Hongyanhe-6 is connected to the grid

The Hongyanhe-6 (China) was connected to the grid on May 2, 2022.

A CPR-1000 reactor developed by the Chinese corporation CGN is installed on the unit. According to PRIS, the thermal power of the reactor is 2905 MWt, the electrical power of the unit is 1119 MWe gross and 1061 MWe net.

The owner and operating organization of the unit is the Liaoning Hongyanhe Nuclear Power Co. Ltd. (LHNPC). 45% of the company's shares are owned by CGN and SPIC corporations, and the remaining 10% by the municipal company Dalian Municipal Construction Investment Co.

The date of the first concrete is July 24, 2015. The date of the first criticality is April 21, 2022.
