Uranium deposits have been stricken in 70 ies. But in that time uranium ore deposit was estimated as not suitable for further industrial development. Now geologists should estimate uranium reserves and possibility of mining in industrial scales. The work will continue 4 years. The geologists are hopeful of success. "Similar uranium deposits are developed in Siberia and they are industrial type. I hope, here uranium deposits will be the same type", - geologist Igor Malkov said. Now Russian industry uses uranium from uranium storage, and uranium reserves accumulated in Russia will be exhausted by 2020. Up to now investments have been made only in exploration of uranium deposits in Baikal region and Kola Peninsula. The deputy head of Management of Chukotka reserves Michael Baranov is sure: "Chukotka is uranium province. Now our main activities are concentrated in Chita region. Beside, our agency decided to resume work in Chukotka". New methods of exploration and new mining technologies allow to speak of availability of Chukotka's deposit.
