Izhorsk plants affiliated to United Heavy Machinery Corp. (OMZ) have completed the 37th shipment of equipment for Kudankulam NPP (India). The cost of equipment is about USA $ 5 million. This equipment with weight of 266 tons includes rolling gate for transport portal, emergency sluice, pellets for sub-assemblies and others.

In 2002 OMZ concluded the contract with the general contractor ZAO "Atomstroyexport" for production of equipment for two units with VVER-1000 reactors of Kudankulam NPP.

In accordance with the Contract OMZ should deliver about 21 000 tons of equipment to Nuclear Power Corporation of India with the cost of more USA$ 300 million.

OMZ plans to complete deliveries of equipment for Kudankulam NPP in 2007.

United Heavy Machinery Corp. (Uralmash - Izhora group) is Russia's leading engineering company. It specializes in engineering, production, sell and service maintenance of equipment and machinery for nuclear, oil-gas, mining industries and in production of special types of steel. Production sites of OMZ are in Russia (Uralmash and Izhora plants) and in Czechia (Pilsen Steel и Skoda JS).

First concrete poured at unit 4 at Leningrad NPP-2
On March 20, 2025, the first concrete was poured for the foundation of the reactor building at Unit 4 of Leningrad NPP-2. The construction is part of the capacity replacement program at the plant, a subsidiary of Rosenergoatom, Rosatom Electric Power Division.
Representatives from the Belarusian NPP, El Dabaa NPP (Egypt), and Rooppur NPP (Bangladesh) participated in the first concrete ceremony via videoconference. These countries have power units with reference Russian VVER-1200 reactors that they have constructed or are constructing with the support of Rosatom.
