Rosenergoatom and open joint-stock company Silovye Mashiny (Power machines) discussed delivery of equipment to NPP
On July 28 representatives of Rosenergoatom and OJSC "Silovye Mashiny" discussed issues of delivery of turbine and generator equipment to NPPs at the meeting in St. Petersburg.
Rosenergoatom CEO Sergey Obozov and OJSC "Silovye Mashiny" CEO Boris Vainzikhir, representatives of state unitary enterprise (FGUP) "Zarubezhatomstroy" and state unitary enterprise (FGUP) "Atomenergoproject" took part in the meeting.
According to Obozov, Rosenergoatom considers OJSK "Silovye Mashiny" as its strategic partner: "Today the plants of holding take an active part in our program for extension of NPP lifetime, modernization and increase of power of existing units. Annual volume of actual agreements between us and enterprises including in holding "Silovye Mashiny" amounts to RUB 3 billion. And it will be increased multiple as plants will involve in the program for developing nuclear power complex", - he emphasized.
The meeting agenda also included the visit of Silovie Mashiny's enterprises by Rosenergoatom representatives: "Elektrosila" plant (produces generators of all power and types), Turbin blades plant (ZTL), produces blades of all sizes and types turbine, as well as "Leningrad metal plant (LMZ), produces steam turbines.
Rosenergoatom deputy general director Alexander Polushkin noted that Electrosila, ZTL and LMZ will take part in realization of the federal target program for development of nuclear power and industry complex, so the decision has been made to examine these plants and to estimate if these plants are ready to fulfill new orders. He said: "My first impression is good. The plants are alive. They have a lot of orders. Now staff recruiting an intensive replacement of old equipment by new one continue. It means that these plants are seriously prepared for future developments.
Then participants discussed a lot of problems concerning preparation of the equipment for the 2nd unit of Rostov NPP and delivery of equipment to Kalinin NPP.
The companies attended at the meeting also discuss the participation of OJSC "Silovye mashiny" in development of nuclear and power complex and in construction of new units of NPP-2006.
Obozov commented the results of the meeting: "We organizes the meetings on regular basis. Experience shows that every month some problems arise. We shouldn't collect them, it is necessary to decide these problems as soon as they arise. So we 'll meet in the regime planned. If necessary, it will be the level of Obozov-Vainziher, while executors will hold similar meetings on regular basis.
