The head of Rosatom visited the construction site of the Paks-2 NPP

Alexey Likhachev, CEO of Rosatom State Corporation, visited the Paks-2 NPP construction site on September 22, 2023.

According to the Rosatom's communications department, the construction of a concrete plant has been completed at the construction site and the construction of a reinforcement products workshop is continuing.

Excavation is also being carried out up to the -5 m level under the reactor building of power unit No. 6, similar work on unit No. 5 has already been completed.

The next stage will be the beginning of work on strengthening the soil on the territory of future units to continue preparing for the pouring the first concrete.

According to A. Likhachev, the pouring of the first concrete will take place at the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025.
