Rosatom to attend at the World Nuclear Exhibition Communications Department of Rosatom, PUBLISHED 01.12.2021 ROSATOM, a global technological leader, will attend the World Nuclear Exhibition (WNE) being held in Paris, France, between 30 November and 2 December 2021. WNE, the world's largest exhibition dedicated to the civil nuclear sector, will bring together global leaders from across the nuclear industry. Following on from the COP26 summit, the theme of this year's exhibition is 'The nuclear industry, a key partner for a low carbon society in a responsible future.' ROSATOM will participate in a series of events across the three-day exhibition. On 1 December, the company will host a high-level panel discussion on the role of nuclear energy in addressing the global climate crisis. The panellists, who include Alexey Likhachev, Director General of ROSATOM, Jean-Bernard Levy, Chairman and CEO of EDF and Mohamed Al Hammadi, Managing Director and CEO of ENEC will discuss how nuclear can help to meet global climate targets. They will also explore the importance of international cooperation to encourage further development of the nuclear industry, particularly with regards to innovative technologies. Other event highlights include seminars on the global development of small modular reactors (SMRs) and closing the nuclear fuel cycle. Representatives of ROSATOM will also take part in other panel discussions. Alexey Likhachev, Director General of ROSATOM, commented: "The World Nuclear Exhibition in Paris is one of the most important events that brings together leaders and key authorities from across the global nuclear energy industry. It provides a platform for us to discuss new frontiers for cooperation with our overseas partners, as well as new joint opportunities for implementing large-scale projects.
