The first unit of the Belorussian NPP synchronized for the first time with the network and produced its first kilowatt-hours of electric energy in unified energy system of the Republic of Belarus.

Lithuania, reacting to the BelNPP-1's start-up, stopped transmitting electricity from the Belarus.

Over two million cubic meters of sand were laid by construction workers in 2020 in the foundation of the future Kursk NPP-2. The plan was completed more than two months ahead of schedule.
