443 nuclear units are operating

The current number of the operating nuclear power units in the world is equal to 443. These data are presented in the PRIS database supported by the IAEA.

Another 65 units have the status of the being built one.

Since the beginning of 2015, five new units were connected to the grid, four of them in China - "Fangjiashan-2", "Hongyanhe-3", "Ningde-3" and "Yangjiang-2".

The fifth new unit was launched in South Korea - "Shin-Wolsong-2".
