Protection-2014 national exercise in Bulgaria AtomInfo.Ru, PUBLISHED 25.11.2014 The national exercise Protection 2014 was held in Bulgaria, AtomInfo.Bg writes. The exercises simulated the action under a severe accident at the Kozloduy nuclear power plant Kozloduy and it was attended by representatives of more than 30 Bulgarian authorities. The main purpose of the exercise - to test the readiness of all structures to work for the warning and evacuation of people, as well as rescue operations and actions to mitigate the consequences of the accident. The exercises are held simultaneously in Sofia, Vratsa, Montana, Kozloduy and other localities. The observers from the European Commission, the IAEA and WANO have been invited.
