Atomenergomash Acquires 51% Stake in Chladici veze Praha, Czech Cooling Tower Manufacturer

OJSC “Atomenergomash” have completed the acquisition of 51% stake in Gardea, a.s. (Czech Republic), the 100% owner of Chladici veze Praha, a.s., Eastern Europe’s biggest producer of cooling towers for nuclear and thermal power plants. The respective share purchase agreement was signed in Prague on September 7, 2011.

"The acquisition of control stake in Chladici veze Praha enables us to offer a full range of services for the organization of the cooling system for our clints in nuclear power, thermal power and oil & gas industries, - said CEO of OJSC Atomenergomash Vladimir Kashchenko.

Luka's( Chmel, CEO of Chladici veze Praha, said: “This deal will help us to reinforce our positions in Russia and the CIS, our key markets for industrial cooling products, and in other promising regions where Rosatom is present, such as Europe and Pacific Asia. Established in 1951, Chladici veze Praha supplies a complete portfolio of industrial cooling products for the nuclear and classic energy segments, with a total number of constructed concrete cooling towers exceeding 80. Chladici veze Praha is the only company in Central and Eastern Europe to produce micro-coolers, fan cooling towers and manufacture its own cooling technology components (cooling fills, spraying nozzles and precipitators). Chladici veze Praha possesses unique technology and equipment for erecting chimney-type reinforced concrete and metallic cooling towers including special concrete forms and a tower crane for building cooling towers that are up to 180 meters high.
