Capacity of a number of Russian units will be reduced during the New Year holidays

AtomInfo.Ru, PUBLISHED 29.12.2024

The output of the power units of some Russian nuclear power plants in the period from December 29 to January 8 will be limited as planned by the System Operator of the Unified Energy System (UES).

This is reported on the website of Rosenergoatom.

The power limitation is due to the traditional decline in electricity consumption during the New Year holidays.

In particular, the capacity of the Balakovo and Kalinin NPP power units will be reduced by 7-10% of the nominal.

The output of the Kola NPP during the holidays will be carried out under the conditions of daily planning, taking into account the daily evolving operating balance situation.

Power units No. 4 of the Kalinin NPP, No. 4 of the Beloyarsk NPP and No. 3 of the Leningrad NPP will be under scheduled repair during the New Year and Christmas holidays.
