About 700 foreign specialists were trained at Russian nuclear power plants in 2023, the Rosenergoatom website reports.

In total, since 2018, more than 2,800 specialists from China, Turkey, Egypt, Hungary, Belarus and Bangladesh have completed post training and/or advanced training programs at all sites.

Theoretical training and simulator training are conducted at the branches of the Rosatom Technical Academy in Obninsk, St. Petersburg and Novovoronezh, and on-the-job internships are conducted at reference Russian nuclear power plants with VVER-1200 reactors (Novovoronezh NPP and Leningrad NPP).

The organization of training for personnel of foreign nuclear power plants is carried out by a specialized company JSC Rusatom Service (part of the electric power division).
