Commissioning of the first unit of the Akkuyu NPP is scheduled for July 2025

The commissioning of Unit No. 1 of the Akkuyu NPP (Turkey) is scheduled for July 2025.

This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to Dmitry Romanets, deputy director of the Akkuyu NPP under construction.

"Our main priority is safety. In 2025, we should put the first unit into full commercial operation. According to the contract of purchase and sale of electricity, we must provide the first electricity in July 2025," the nuclear engineer explained.
