The Rosatom Engineering Division has Participated in the 7th DIRB-2022 Conference Rosatom Engineering Division, PUBLISHED 05.06.2022 The Rosatom State Corporation Engineering Division has participated in the 7th "Digital Industry in the Russian Business" (DIRB) Conference that was weld in Nizhny Novgorod within June 1-3, 2022. The Engineering Division's delegation was headed by Olga Tolstunova, ASE JSC Vice President for Digitalization and Information Technologies. The one of the largest specialized conferences was attended by representatives of the business industry and top managers of the state corporations in the area of digital technology development both in Russia and abroad. One of the key topics at the last conference addressed import substitution. Olga Tolstunova spoke at the panel discussion dedicated to "The way in which Big data and ML are transforming the energy sector: where to find domestic solutions" and delivered a report on ASE JSC in-house development, i.e. the Multi-D integrated digital platform. Multi-D is the basis for the technological competitiveness and independence in construction of nuclear power plants. The platform consists of several layers, such as: technological core, service level and functional level, consisting of Multi-D software products that offer a means of quick decision-making and customizing the project to suit the business needs. This digital platform being used by all construction project participants makes it possible to eliminate functional disintegration and work in the same information space using the common data. "The Multi-D platform opens up a wide range of opportunities for both Rosatom and companies in other industries that have complex engineering projects in their portfolio, and we are ready to offer our products to optimize and increase the transparency of complex business processes for other market players. Actually, we provide an opportunity to assemble the necessary digital tools to suit specific needs, like different parts in the Meccano set," Olga Tolstunova emphasized. Also, the International "BIM-management" educational and practical project of the Rosatom Engineering Division has been put forward for the participants and guests of DIRB- 2022. Over a two-year period, more than 2,800 participants from 40 countries have been trained as part of this project. The educational programme, based on the "knowledge-in-return-for-results" principle, has resulted in over 1,300 digital copies of buildings and structures (with a total area of 5 million sq. km) in Nizhny Novgorod and Yekaterinburg. "Such projects are highly important, since they allow preserving the historical appearance of buildings and help simulating the urban development of cities in the future," while speaking on the project usefulness, said Alexey Afagonov, ASE JSC Director for Support and Development of Design Production, Head of the "Engineering Design" Industry Competence Center of the Rosatom State Corporation. The programme participants gain skills in working with up-to-date tools, in the current-day environment and with state-of-the art digital modeling methods, which increases by all means their competitiveness and professional status at the labour market," he went on to say. Other news: Russian specialists present reports at IAEA Conference on Fast Reactors A total of 70 reports by Russian participants were presented at the conference. Specialists of SSC RIAR have successfully completed the modernization of the VK-50 reactor This is the first and only operating pressurized boiling reactor with natural coolant circulation in the country. Ghana will decide on the site before the end of the year Four candidate sites are currently being explored. |
