The installation of the reactor vessel is a key event that opens up a further front of work on the installation of reactor equipment and allows speeding up the construction process, as part of the construction of the third power unit of the Kudankulam NPP.

For the first time during the construction of a nuclear power plant, an Indian customer installed the reactor vessel of VVER-type power units using the "Open Top" method.

This technology allows to significantly reduce the project implementation time by optimizing and reducing the time and number of installation operations.

At present, PWR light water reactors are the backbone of China's nuclear power industry. At the next stage of development, fast reactors should appear in the country, and fusion energy will become the third stage. In parallel with the development of reactor technologies, the development of the necessary fuel cycles is underway.
