Vermont Yankee is finally stopped

The Vermont Yankee NPP (USA) was finally stopped at 29 December 2014.

The Vermont Yankee NPP consists of a single unit boiling water reactor BWR. It was commissioned on 30 November 1972.

Among the reasons which led the owners to decide on the closure, the cheap natural gas prices in the region are cited.
