TENAM and Fuelco Conclude the First Contract for Supply of Russian Enriched Uranium to a U.S. Generating Company Press service of TENEX (JSC Techsnabexport), PUBLISHED January 22, 2013 TENAM Corporation (a 100-percent U.S. subsidiary of TENEX) has concluded the first contract for the supply of enriched uranium with a U.S. utility under a fuel procurement agreement facilitated by Fuelco LLC. “I am deeply proud that TENAM, after our incorporation in 2010, has concluded our first contract with the Fuelco group. Fuelco made significant efforts in order to support worthy representation of TENEX as a Russian supplier of nuclear goods and services to the U.S. market,” commented TENAM President Vadim Mikerin upon the contract signing. He also noted that this is the 14th contract directly signed with U.S. utilities for the supply of Russian SWUs, and the first by TENAM, subsequent to the 2008 execution of the Amendment to the Russian Suspension Agreement. Fuelco President Bruce Hamilton was particularly satisfied of the achievement. “In May of 2009, we were the first U.S. company to negotiate a contract with TENEX for direct import of Russian enriched uranium product into the United States,” said Hamilton. “Now we have also concluded the first contract with TENAM. These two historic achievements are testaments to the strong relationship we have built between our companies.” Other news: The refueling operation was conducted in the presence of experts from the IAEA.
