Ñhavez Slams Clinton for Threatening Russia

RIA Novosti, PUBLISHED July 10, 2012

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has criticized U.S. State Secretary Hillary Clinton who, he claimed, “uttered threats’ to Russia and China while speaking at a Friends of Syria conference, Univisio'n reported on Tuesday.

“We saw [that the state secretary uttered] overt threats to Russia and China. [She said that] they will have to pay a high price if they do not do what other countries demand. Do you understand? Obviously, this is the downright madness of those who consider selves rulers of the world,” Chavez said on Monday at a press conference in Caracas.

He urged Clinton to look into the problems of the U.S. people. “There are enough problems in the United States, but they [the U.S. authorities] want to do [in Syria] what they did in Libya.”

Foreign military killed thousands in Libya to kill Gaddafi, Chavez continued. “And now they want to do the same in Syria and threaten Iran,” he said adding that Cuban Leader Fidel Castro has already warned him that “there is a serious threat of nuclear war.”

Clinton lambasted Russia and China on Friday for blocking efforts to topple Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, who has lost a key general to defection. She said that Russia and China need to understand that there is a price to be paid for “blockading” the Syrian peace process.

"I ask you to reach out to Russia and China and not only ask but demand that they get off the sidelines," she said. "I don't think Russia and China believe they are paying any price at all, nothing at all, for standing with (the) Assad regime."

Not quite so. The authors of the concept, which was difficult to be realized in practice, turned to a clearer concept of a standing wave reactor (TP-1) that in principle allows finding the solution to the tasks stated for TWRs.

One more round of talks will be held in Moscow on June 18-19 in an attempt to find common ground. There is no reason to dramatize the situation.
