The Russian Tvel nuclear fuel company participated in an energy exhibition in India on Friday.
The company’s management says cooperation with India is a “priority”.
Tvel has already supplied fuel Indian nuclear reactors being built in cooperation with Russia and plans to increase supplies.
Ivan Dybov, a Tvel spokesman, told RIA Novosti that the Indian government is considering the company's proposal to build a nuclear fuel production plant for NPPs in India.
Tvel concluded an agreement in 2009 to supply 2 thousand tons of nuclear fuel to India.
New Delhi has also invited American and French companies to participate in the construction of nuclear reactors in the country.
