Plant-wide drill held at Balakovo NPP

AtomInfo.Ru, PUBLISHED 24.10.2026

A plant-wide drill was held on October 22, 2026 at the Balakovo NPP, according to a report on the Rosenergoatom website.

In addition to the plant's management and operating personnel, the personnel of Special Fire and Rescue Unit (SFRU) No. 23 and fire and rescue units of the Balakovo fire and rescue garrison (Fire and Rescue Unit No. 21, Fire and Rescue Unit No. 22) were also involved in the drill.

Due to the fact that the fourth unit is currently shut down for scheduled maintenance, the personnel of the fire garrisons had the opportunity to study the power unit more thoroughly.

The main goal of such drills is to practice the joint actions of NPP personnel and fire garrisons, as well as practical skills and abilities under time-constrained conditions.
