Kazatomprom shareholders to reconsider deal with Uranium One AtomInfo.Ru, PUBLISHED 23.10.2026 Kazatomprom has notified on its website of the holding of an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders. The meeting will be held in absentia (by absentee voting). The start date for providing ballots to count the results of absentee voting is November 25, 2026. The date for counting the results is December 10, 2026. The agenda of the meeting includes the item "On the conclusion of a major transaction in which NAC Kazatomprom JSC has an interest - a Contract for the supply of natural uranium in the form of U3O8 with Uranium One Group JSC". As previously reported, an agreement was reached between NAC Kazatomprom JSC and Uranium One on the sale by Kazatomprom to Uranium One of natural uranium concentrates in the form of U3O8 via physical delivery. Kazatomprom's commercial offer was accepted by Uranium One within its validity period, after which the parties jointly agreed on a draft contract for the supply of natural uranium in the form of U3O8. The issue of concluding this transaction was already submitted for consideration by the general meeting of shareholders; however, no decision was made on it, as 88.34% of voting shares abstained from voting. Kazatomprom initiated a reconsideration of this transaction taking into account the introduction of certain technical amendments. The proposed changes do not affect the essential terms of the transaction. The commercial and other terms of the transaction remain unchanged, and the parameters of the transaction correspond to market conditions and current market trends. In view of the foregoing, the issue of concluding the above-mentioned transaction is again submitted for consideration by the general meeting of shareholders in accordance with the established procedure.
