Two reactors installed on Leningrad nuclear-powered icebreaker

Specialists from the United Shipbuilding Corporation's Baltiysky Zavod shipyard have installed two RITM-200 reactors on the nuclear-powered icebreaker Leningrad.

This was reported on the shipyard's website.

All operations were carried out jointly with specialists from the OKB SpetsTyazhProekt design bureau, using specialised lifting equipment and rigging, and in compliance with heightened safety requirements.

Both power units have been placed in their designated positions, and the installation of the reactors and auxiliary equipment has commenced.
