A solemn ceremony dedicated to the start of pouring the first concrete into the foundation of the reactor building of the Paks NPP power unit No.5 (Hungary) took place on February 5, 2026.

This is reported on the website of the engineering division of the Rosatom State Corporation.

The VVER-1200 reactor will be installed on the unit.
