Rosatom took part in the Renewable Energy in Russia Energy Transition Technologies International Conference Rosatom, PUBLISHED 05.12.2025 On 3 December 2025, the III International Conference on "Renewable Energy in Russia: Energy Transition Technologies" was held in Moscow. This event provides a platform for regular discussions between top industry experts, representatives from the business community, and government officials. Kirill Komarov, First Deputy Director General - Director of Development and International Business at Rosatom, took part in the session on "International Cooperation and the Prospects for Introducing Energy Transition Technologies in the Global Energy Sector". The session discussed the significance of energy transition technologies in meeting the increasingly growing electricity consumption needs, as well as the crucial factors that increase international cooperation in energy projects and the potential for change in the technological landscape of the energy sector, enhance the role of international organizations and financial institutions in fostering investment in energy transition projects. "Rosatom is a major national manufacturer of equipment and supplier of low-carbon energy. This makes the company the key player in Russia's energy transition agenda. Apart from its long-standing focus on nuclear energy, Rosatom is also a pioneer in the Russian wind energy sector, having successfully localized the manufacturing of multimegawatt wind turbines. Now, we are ready to move towards a more powerful and effective platform. A key factor for the renewable energy industry will be the development of additional measures to facilitate the achievement of targets set in the General Scheme for Electricity Facilities until 2042 in terms of renewable energy sources. Developing our competencies and deepening our localization are the foundations for our national independence and technological sovereignty," said Kirill Komarov.
