Permits have been issued to start pouring the first concrete at Paks-5

On November 4, 2025, the Hungarian Atomic Energy Agency (OAH) issued permits allowing the start of pouring the first concrete into the foundation of the Paks NPP power unit No. 5, as well as the construction of buildings on the nuclear island.

This is reported on the website of the Rosatom engineering division.

The work is scheduled to begin in February 2026.
