Commissioning of the first unit of Kursk NPP-2 postponed to 2026

Rosenergoatom informed the System Operator company about the postponement of the commissioning of the first power unit of the Kursk NPP-2 from the current to the next year.

This is reported by Interfax with reference to the list of proposals for the scheme and program for the development of the electric power industry until 2031.

In addition, Rosatom plans to extend the operational life of unit 3 of the Kursk NPP beyond the horizon of 2031.
