He noted the important role of nuclear power in creating a reliable and sustainable energy system of the future. Tripling global nuclear power generation by 2050 is a vital step to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. We observe a steady increase in demand for our technologies in the context of tackling climate challenges. Rosatom's projects help our foreign partners not only create reliable and carbon-free generation, but also directly contribute to economic growth, job creation and scientific capacity building. For example, the Akkuyu NPP will cover about 10% of Turkey's electricity demand and will make a significant contribution to the country's economic development.
