The first batch of natural uranium in 11 years has been delivered to the Japanese enrichment plant AtomInfo.Ru, PUBLISHED 12.10.2025 Japan Nuclear Fuel Ltd. has received the first batch of natural uranium for its enrichment in the last 11 years. The cargo arrived at the separation plant of the Japanese fuel complex Rokkasho. Uranium enrichment activities were interrupted in Japan after the 2011 accident at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. Japan Nuclear Fuel Ltd. resumed uranium enrichment in 2023, using previously supplied reserves of natural uranium.
