CNNC Rossing Uranium attends the Namibia Mining Expo and Conference 2024 CNNC, PUBLISHED 25.08.2024 Rossing Uranium Limited, a subsidiary of China National Nuclear Corporation, recently attended the Namibia Mining Expo and Conference 2024. Under the theme "Green Shoots for Namibia's Mining Industry: A Season of Opportunity and Growth for Economic Expansion", this year's mining expo and conference aimed to promote the fast development of the Namibian mining sector and push for the country's economic growth. The 11th Namibia Mining Expo and Conference was hosted by Namibia's Chamber of Mines. Namibian Vice-President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and Namibian Minister of Mines and Energy Tom Alweendo visited exhibition area of Rossing Uranium. Apart from displaying models of both Rossing Uranium's and Namibia's first uranium ores and nuclear fuel elements, the exhibition area mainly introduced the CNNC's whole-industry technological strength and Rossing Uranium's advanced production technologies, phase-4 development plans and the fulfillment of corporate social responsibilities. Nandi-Ndaitwah spoke highly of the positive contributions made by Rossing Uranium to Namibia's economic and social development, showed great interest in the further utilization of local rich uranium resources toward the development of nuclear energy as well as relevant technologies, and welcomed the CNNC to make additional investments in Namibia. During the mining expo and conference, the CNNC's working group in Namibia conducted inspection activities of the exploration and development projects of uranium, gold, copper and rare earth ores and strengthened their contact with the relevant sides.
