CNNC Chairman Meets with Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission Head

Yu Jianfeng, chairman of the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC), met with Raja Ali Raza, chairman of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), in Beijing on July 31.

Yu said that the CNNC and the PAEC have engaged in closer cooperation and built iron-clad friendship in the peaceful use of nuclear energy, and asked the two sides to further deepen bilateral cooperation, push for the building of an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future, and elevate the all-weather strategic partnership between China and Pakistan to a new height.

Raza said that the friendship between the PAEC and the CNNC has stood the test of time and that the 6 nuclear reactors built by them have made noticeable contributions to the green and safe transition of Pakistan's energy sector. Noting that there is a broad space of cooperation between the two sides, he called for efforts to further deepen nuclear energy collaboration and expand the application scope of nuclear technology.
