Energy exports from Russia to China increased to USD46 billion in the first half of 2024 - Sechin

Russian energy exports to China increased by 4% in the first half of 2024, to $46 billion, said Igor Sechin, executive secretary of the Presidential Commission on Fuel and Energy Development strategy and environmental safety and head of Rosneft.

This is reported by the Prime agency.

"In the first six months of this year, Russian energy exports to China amounted to about $46 billion, which is 4% higher than the previous year. As a result, our country has provided almost 20% of China's energy imports in value terms," the agency quoted Sechin as saying.

"Let me remind you that in 2021 this figure was only 13%."
