416 nuclear units are operating in the world, 58 units are under construction

The current number of the operating nuclear power units in the world is equal to 416. These data are presented in the PRIS database supported by the IAEA.

Another 58 units have the status of the being built one.

Since the beginning of 2024, three new units have been connected to the grid - Kakrapar-4 (India), Vogtle-4 (USA) and Barakah-4 (UAE).

The construction was started on three new units - ElDabaa-4 (Egypt), Zhangzhou-3 (China) and Leningrad-2-3 (Russia).
