411 nuclear units are operating in the world, 58 units are under construction

The current number of the operating nuclear power units in the world is equal to 411. These data are presented in the PRIS database supported by the IAEA.

Another 58 units have the status of the being built one.

Since the beginning of 2023, four new units have been connected to the grid - Fangchenggang-3 (China), Mochovce-3 (Slovakia), Vogtle-3 (USA) and Belarusian-2 (Belarus).

The construction was started on four new units - Sanmen-4, Haiyang-4 and Lufeng-6 (all China) and ElDabaa-3 (Egypt).

Five units were permanently shutdown - Tihange-2 (Belgium), Kuosheng-2 (Taiwan, China), Emsland, Isar-2 and Neckarwestheim-2 (all Germany).
