The Head of ROSATOM Alexey Likhachev met with IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi.

The meeting was held in Beijing. The ROSATOM Director General visited China as a part of the delegation of the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, and IAEA Director General was on his working visit to China.

Alexey Likhachev and Rafael Mariano Grossi continued their conversation, which has recently taken on regular character. They discussed the interaction between Russia and the Agency.

The main emphasis was placed on questions related to the IAEA mission at the Zaporozhskaya NPP and to ensuring the safety of this plant in general. Rafael Mariano Grossi informed Alexey Likhachev about the progress of his initiative in this direction.

There is an agreement to hold the next full-scale meeting in future.
