A digital system for Hanhikivi-1 NPP configuration management at the design stage has been created in Engineering Division of ROSATOM

The specialists of Digitalization Directorate of ASE EC JSC (Engineering Division of ROSATOM) completed the establishment of configuration management system for Hanhikivi-1 NPP (Finland) for the Basic Design stage.

The digital system for Hanhikivi-1 NPP configuration management was established on the basis of Multi-D IMS platform - the core of Multi-D technology of Rosatom Engineering Division. It traces all the changes in the design documentation. It is important that the system can show all the modifications of the design documentation that shall be made after each change. This makes it possible to enhance the efficiency of change management and to verify the documentation in terms of changes during designing and licensing of Hanhikivi-1 NPP.

Access to configuration management system is provided to specialists of JSC ATOMPROEKT (the general designer, a company of Rosatom Engineering Division), specialists of RAOS Project Oy (the general supplier) and the Owner - Fennovoima Oy.

The digital system of configuration management was for the first time applied during the construction of Unit 3 of Rostov NPP. A modified version of the system is used in Belarus NPP project. The version for Hanhikivi-1 NPP was developed in compliance with the requirements of STUK, the regulatory authority of Finland. It differs from the previous versions in a larger volume of data due to a higher level of detail.
