Special session of the IAEA GC will be held on December 2

A special session of the IAEA General Conference will be held on December 2, 2019, to approve the appointment of the new Director General, Rafael Mariano Grossi.

The Special Session will convene at 10:00 CET in Boardroom B, on the first floor of the M-building in the Vienna International Centre (VIC).

Newly-appointed IAEA Director General Grossi is expected to hold a press conference outside Boardroom B after the morning plenary session ends around noon CET.

Ambassador Rafael Mariano Grossi is set to take office as Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in early December, following his appointment to the post by the Agency's Board of Governors on Wednesday 30 October 2019.
