451 nuclear unit is operating in the world

The current number of the operating nuclear power units in the world is equal to 451. These data are presented in the PRIS database supported by the IAEA.

Another 54 units have the status of the being built one.

Since the beginning of 2019, one unit was permanently shutdown in Russia - "Bilibino-1" with the EGP-6 reactor. It happened at January 14.

One unit has been connected to the grid - "Shin-Kori-4" in South Korea.
