The second Russian NPPs in India may appear in Andhra Pradesh or Karnataka AtomInfo.Ru, PUBLISHED 08.03.2015 The states of Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka can be to be chosn by the Indian authorities for the construction of a new nuclear power plant with Russian VVER reactors, the PTI reports citing the sources in the government. The site for the construction of a second nuclear power station has been proposed in West Bengal, but it had to be withdrawn due to a change in the political situation in the state and the protests of the local population. In 2011, the Russians asked India to offer any alternative accommodation for the second plant.
