TEPCO nearly completed Fukushima Daiichi-4 spent fuel pool unloading AtomInfo.Ru, PUBLISHED 18.12.2014 The TEPCO continues to work for unloading the fuel assemblies from the spent fuel pool of forth unit of Fukushima Daiichi NPP in Japan. As of December 15, 2014, the 1,507 assemblies are unloaded from the pool including 1,331 irradiated and 176 fresh ones. Totally at the time of the year 2001 accident it was 1533 assemblies in the pool. Of these, it was 1,331 irradiated and 202 fresh ones. The unloading of irradiated assemblies has been ended in early November. Now the employees of the company unload the fresh fuel assemblies remaining in the pool. The assemblies are discharged from the pool and placed in the general station location. The company hopes to finish unloading the pool until the end of 2014.
