He visited facilities of the chemical and metallurgical plant PA Mayak and held two meetings on issues of economic activities of the company and capital projects program. The head of nuclear industry introduced a new leader of PA Mayak, Mikhail Pokhlebaev, to the meeting attendees. “The key task Mikhail Ivanovich and Mayak management are facing is to radically re-engineer the capital project management system,” Sergey Kirienko said. “Mikhail Ivanovich has solid experience in working in the nuclear industry. He headed the Instrumentation Plant in Trekhgorny during the recent five years and I think he achieved solid successes at this plant. And this is the ground to set a new complex target for him related to Mayak development,” he said. Sergey Kirienko also ranked as priorities the building of a new and modernization of the existing reactors, increasing the volume of civilian products, increasing labor efficiency that is to become the basis for wages growth. “Mayak is a special enterprise. In Russia we have a few enterprises the nuclear industry cannot do without. They are just three-four in the country, and PA Mayak is one of such enterprises.
