CEO of ROSATOM Sergey Kirienko extended his condolences to Areva upon the loss of the company CEO Luc Oursel

Chief Executive Officer of ROSATOM Sergey Kirienko sent condolences to acting CEO of Areva group (France) Philippe Knoche upon the loss of its former Chief Executive Officer Luc Oursel.

The message reads: “Dear Mr. Knoche,

We are deeply grieved by the information about Luc Oursel passing away and share the sorrow on this loss with the French colleagues.

Luc Oursel was a major nuclear industry professional, reliable partner and wonderful person. The relations between ROSATOM and Areva group have gained a powerful momentum with his direct participation. We will not forget him.

I would like to ask you to convey our sincere condolences to the family members and friends of Luc Oursel.”
