Temenujka Petkova - new Bulgarian energy minister

Temenujka Petkova is appointed as new Minister of Energy of Bulgaria, the AtomInfo.Bg reports.

Temenujka Petkova was born January 18, 1967. She graduated from the University of National and World Economy, has a master's degree in the specialty "Accounting and control." Further study on economic specialties she held in Ireland, the UK and Portugal.

From 1992 to 2000 she worked as a financial auditor and an expert in the management of the Sofia State Financial Control Service. She was pursuing a career in the State agency internal financial control, where she has, in particular, the position of head of department.

From 2007 to 2013, she has held the senior positions in the Agency for State Financial Inspection of Bulgaria. She was gained public notoriety in the course of a parliamentary investigation of the Belene NPP construction.

As Minister of Energy, she was appointed from the center-right GERB party.
