Coalition for Nuclear-Free Iran Announces Rally in Vienna Against Appeasement Policy RIA Novosti, PUBLISHED 14.10.2014 The STOP THE BOMB coalition for a nuclear-free and democratic Iran has announced a rally in protest of the "policy of appeasement" against the Islamic republic, a statement posted on the coalition's Facebook page said Tuesday. The rally that is to take place on Theodor Herzl Square in the Austrian capital of Vienna aims to garner support against making a deal with the Iranian regime on its nuclear program. According to the coalition, there should be no compromise because otherwise, Iran will still be able to develop nuclear weapons. The rally will take place from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. local time (08:00 to 17:00 GMT) in light of international nuclear talks approaching on October 15. Earlier in the day, Iranian negotiators arrived in Vienna for nuclear talks with the European Union and the United States. The negotiating sides are to finalize the details of the agreement that is to be signed by November 24, according to the Joint Plan of Action (JPA). The current round of talks in Vienna is expected to focus on two largest areas of concern – Iran's uranium enrichment and the lifting of US, EU and UN sanctions against the country. The previous round of negotiations took place in September in New York between Iran and the P5+1 group members including Russia, China, the United States, the United Kingdom, France and Germany but did not yield any results as the parties failed to agree on any of the key issues. The West has been accusing Tehran of developing nuclear weapons under the guise of a civilian nuclear program, though their claims have repeatedly been denied by Iranian authorities.
