Iran Foreign Minister: Next Round of Talks Between Iran and 6 to Take Place in Europe RIA Novosti, PUBLISHED 28.09.2014 The next round of talks between Iran and the "6" (the five permanent members of UN's Security Council and Germany) will take place in Europe, Javad Zarif, Iran's Foreign Minister, told Russian reporters after he met his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov. "It will take place somewhere in Europe because New York is too far," Zarif said. The West accuses Tehran of working on a nuclear weapon under the guise of a civilian nuclear program – claims repeatedly denied by Iranian authorities. At a meeting held in November 2013 in Geneva, Iran and the P5+1 group agreed to reach a long-term nuclear agreement by July 2014. The deadline was later moved to November 2014.
