North Korea Fires 100 Missiles Into Sea of Japan RIA Novosti, PUBLISHED 15.07.2014 North Korea on Monday fired a barrage of some hundred artillery shells off its eastern coast, according to the Yonhap news agency who cited a military source in Seoul. According to South Korea’s military command, the launches took place at about 11:52 am local time (2:53 GMT). Projectiles were shot from an area close to the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) that separates North and South. In late March or early April, North Korea reportedly conducted engine tests for an intercontinental ballistic missile that could potentially deliver a nuclear warhead to the US, according to 38 North program, affiliated with the US-Korea Institute at Johns Hopkins University.
