Iran Says Geneva Talks With World Powers Productive RIA Novosti, PUBLISHED 16.11.2013 Iran’s foreign minister said three days of talks about Tehran’s nuclear program in Geneva were “productive” and the sides have reached an agreement on "a number of issues," although some differences still remain, Press TV has reported. "I'm not disappointed at all because the meeting we just had, very long, running after midnight, was a good meeting," Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif told journalists after talks. "We are working together and hopefully we will be able to reach an agreement when we meet again,” Zarif was quoted by Press TV as saying. The talks between Iran and the six powers – the US, Britain, Russia, China, France and Germany – will resume on November 20. Iran’s foreign minister said he was pleased that all were “on the same wavelength” and “can build on and move forward” from the talks. “We expect serious negotiations,” he said. Russia’s foreign minister said the “lengthy talks” have laid the “foundation for join work” to find a diplomatic solution to the long-running dispute over Iran's nuclear program. Sergei Lavrov also marked a “leading role” of the US delegation led by Secretary of State John Kerry in an effort to “promote approaches that are acceptable for Iran.” “We believe that at this stage this has special importance,” Lavrov said. Speaking on talks with Iran, Kerry said "a significant amount of progress was made," but also cautioned that the "window for diplomacy does not stay open indefinitely," Reuters reported. World powers and Iran are negotiating a tentative deal that would freeze some of Iran’s suspected nuclear activities in exchange for relief from crippling economic sanctions.
