Iran in Full Control of Its Airspace

RIA Novosti, PUBLISHED June 09, 2012

The Islamic Republic’s Army has “100 percent control” of the country’s airspace, a senior Iranian commander said.

Deputy Commander of Khatam al-Anbia Air Defense Base General Shahrokh Shahram said the base can defend Iran's airspace and territory at all times, Press TV reported.

“We believe that we should always be a step ahead of any potential threats and be ready for them,” he said.

Iran has repeatedly said that its defense doctrine is based on deterrence.
