Nikolai Solomon gets the Adam Smith Institute the 2012 Russian CFO Award

Nikolai Solomon, First Deputy Director General for Corporate Functions and Chief Financial Officer of ROSATOM, has been given the Adam Smith Institute’s The Best Chief Financial Officer of the Year Award.

The award ceremony for Russian financial officers was held on May 16.

The award adjudicators included Roger Mannings, a special representative of the U.K. Government for trade with Russia and independent director of AFK Systema, Sergey Guriev, the Rector of the Russian Economic School, Vladimir Mekhrishvili, a member of the Board of the Rosinter Restaurants Holding and other industry experts, representatives of the business community and business mass media.

The adjudicators evaluated results of the massive Program of transformation of financial and economic bloc of ROSATOM that had been initiated by Nikolai Solomon in 2009 and completed last year.

Over 8 years of existence, the Russian CFO Summit of the Adam Smith’s Institute has strongly profiled as the leading platform for meetings of top-ranking financial specialists in Russia. Annually, the Summit gathers together 400 chief financial officers representing a broad range of industries across Russia.

Established in 1970 in the United Kingdom, the Adam Smith Institute has been the world’s leading research center, authoritative international expert in the free market policy and consultant to governments of different countries.
